The muzak: Sleep All Day - Jason Mraz

May 30, 2005

oh don't worry, the feelings are mutual.

howdy to you all!
3 hours of studying at a coffee connoiseur can seriously make you go hysterical.
after checking out the NAFA (which was pretty cool), me and sarah sat at TCC to study. yes, STUDY! it was the longest i've ever studied for history and i congratulate myself for such an achievement despite the fact that it is the end of the school year. so, what does studying history do to you? it gives me sudden urges to throw my textbook into a 100,000 degrees celsius of fire or just fly away to a land far, far away...
one very unncessary thing that clicked in my brain today from reading my history textbook is that if the "pseudo" in "pseudosciences" mean "false" in greek, then the "pseudopod" used in the ameboid movement means "false leg." and then my mind started to wander off to how if i ever got diabetes (and now i know we can't get diabetes from salt thanks to ruth!) and got my leg amputated and replaced with a fake one, i could go around saying that i have a pseudopod! and then some science geek might think that my means of locomotion require the extension of a cytoplasm known as the ameboid movement. but that was just a thought.
it didn't help that there were three guys sitting across us at TCC taking pictures of me and sarah with their ridiculously huge camera. they stopped after i started talking about paparazzi's really loudly, so i'm glad. but God knows what they are gonna do with those pictures *shudder*
anyway! after those 3 hours of productive studying, we walked over to borders where i looked at cards just for fun.
one of them was a really cute goodbye card that said
"may the prosperity of chicken and the sausage of luck be with you always"
and it had a really really cute picture of a chicken and an equally cute picture of a sausage (not sure how a sausage can look cute but yes) below it.
the card was cute and lovely, but i really hate goodbyes. its so painful... it gives you that horrible tight feeling in your throat and moths in your stomach (yes moths. it wouldn't be butterflies... butterflies makes it sound too pretty) ugh ugh ugh.
we ended up buying nothing and walked over to popular (the glorious place where stationary is actually cheap) and bought lovely uniball signo 0.38 DX pens. at the cashier, this little girl started pointing at sarah's iPod which i was listening to, and started jumping and squealing "LOOOK! AND IPOD! ITS AN IPOD! IPOD! IPOD!"
hahaha so i smiled back and kinda waved the iPod in front of her. aah, so heart touching.
that reminds me. i need to get my iPod fixed soon.
well,
4 more days of school....
i can do this!!!

zai jian!
